Course of the overhaul
Analysis of the discovered malfunctions and discrepancies.
Preservation of the AI-25TL engine and the SAPHIR-5 starting unit.
Levelling and measurement of the aircraft and control surface deflections.
Release of pressure, service fluids and gases from systems of the aircraft.
The AI-25TL engine disassembly from aircraft.

Removal of painting from the airframe.
Taking apart of the aircraft to main subassemblies, Aircraft outer surface washing and cleaning, inner space and cockpit cleaning.
Disassembly of aircraft systems, removal of the items which shall be replaced, tested or overhauled.

Laboratory testing and checking of items.
Preservation, blinding and packing of units and their transfer to OEM for overhaul or testing.
Airframe inspection for cracks, damage or corrosion and non-destructive flaw inspection.

Inspection of A/C systems elements for cracks, damage or corrosion.
Repair of discovered damages, malfunctions and wear-outs.

Replacement of obligatory replaced parts.
Implementation of modifying bulletins.
Repair of surface treatment, painting of inner A/C compartments and both cockpits.

Installation of units after completed laboratory testing and repair.

Assembly and completion of systems of the aircraft, their basic adjustment.

Installation of the engine.

Assembly of the complete aircraft, filling of the service fluids and gases.

Levelling and measurement of the aircraft, control surface deflections and alignment check.
Testing of all the aircraft systems and equipment, adjustment and repair of any malfunctions.

Final top painting (camouflage) of the aircraft’s outer surface, symbols and inscriptions according to the L-39ZA painting scheme.

Weight and balance check of the aircraft, issuance of the weight and balance protocol.
The pre-flight check and preparation for flight test.

Repair of any discovered malfunctions or defects.
Final acceptance of the overhauled aircraft by Acceptance Committee
